Description
PHY 321-I. WI: Computational Methods in Physics 4-0-4
An introduction to the methods of computer simulation in physics. The course will be project-based with topics drawn primarily from classical mechanics, including: single particle motions, oscillatory systems, few-body problems, chaotic motion, and random processes. Emphasis is on constructing mathematical models based on physical principles and designing algorithms to implement these models in a computer simulation. PR: PHY211, MAT203, and RHW 102 or CI. CR: MAT202. (Last update: 01/10/19)
