204. Introduction to Applied Linguistics 3-0-3
This course provides an introduction to the analysis and description of languages in general and English in particular. The major areas of linguistics (phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, and pragmatics) and English grammar in use are presented and discussed with an emphasis on applications, including first and second language acquisition. Not a Gen Ed elective.
