This course introduces the student to the nursing care of childbearing women, infants, children, and their families by building on previous nursing concepts. The nursing process will serve as the organizing framework to examine normal pregnancy and the developing child, common complications during pregnancy, delivery, and the postpartum period, and major health concerns in children.
