324. Genetics of Domestic Animals 3-2-4
This course provides a background in all areas of classic Mendelian, population and molecular genetics. Principles of qualitative and quantitative genetics applied to creating changes in domestic animals are addressed. The impact of selection and mating schemes in achieving breeding program goals are discussed along with the application and impacts of biotechnological advancements in genetic manipulation.
